Event Description

This interactive talk and presentation will, through a combination of slides, examples, light-hearted stories and simple exercises:



- outline how the brain works as a goal seeking and goal achieving mechanism

- explain the different roles and capacities of the unconscious and conscious parts of the mind in achieving goals

- show how the brain filters information and stores emotional states as resources to assist us in our outcomes

- demonstrate how we programme our own minds- often inadvertently - through focus, language, physiology, emotional reactions and repetition and explain how redundant or unhelpful programmes can be eliminated

- alert participants to what might be considered as flaws in the basic design and explain how to overcome them.



The results of various research projects will also be referred to by way of further illustration. You can find about more about the principles of Neuro Linguistic Programming in this short introduction.
