BCS Jersey E-mail policy
The BCS Jersey committee has decided to use e-mail and the BCS Jersey web site
for the majority of its communications with members.
We will use the e-mail distribution services provided by BCS Connect (list
server) to send out most communications to members. These will usually include
monthly reminders about the any events a couple of weeks or so in advance. Our
policy will be to keep e-mail messages small and provide links to large
documents which will be made available on the BCS Jersey web site.
BCS Jersey members should make sure that BCS HQ and the BCS Jersey membership
secretary have up to date contact details (including postal and e-mail
addresses).
We will not use BCS Connect for communications that are not related to the
BCS or BCS Jersey.
If you are not yet affiliated to the BCS Jersey Branch please contact
the BCS Branches liaison office
and ask to be added to the BCS Jersey mailing list. You can choose up to three
branches that you want to join.
BCS e-mail management
One of the benefits of BCS membership is a free mail forwarding facility.
This allows any email sent to this address to be forwarded to up to three
internet e-mail accounts of your choice. This is a great way to maintain a
consistent email address throughout your career, no matter how often you change
your ISP or employer.
BCS members with a BCS "lifetime" e-mail address can change their
BCS e-mail account settings using the on-line BCS
e-mail management facility.
More details on how to obtain and customise your BCS lifetime e-mail address are published in
the members area of the BCS web site
(see 'BCS Member Benefits and Content / Exclusive Benefits / Member's Email
Forwarding Facility').
