BCS Jersey occasionally works with other local professional bodies. We feel that this helps members broaden their skills and knowledge, and facilitates new contacts through extended networking opportunities.
IoD Jersey has around 650 members from all sectors of the business community, both private and public sectors. The local branch promotes the business sector and strives through lobbying to ensure that political decisions do not stifle local business and free enterprise.
The primary purpose of the Jersey branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing is to support the development of marketing excellence in the Island. For experienced marketers the branch provides a forum in which they can exchange ideas with marketers from other companies and in other industry sectors.
The Channel Islands Group of Professional Engineers is the representative body for the professional engineering institutions in the Channel Islands. It aims to promote and support professional engineering in the islands and assist in the careers of future engineers. Regular events are organised to bring specialists in engineering related disciplines to both Jersey and Guernsey to present informative and entertaining lectures – these are open to both members and non-members of the group.
The Association for Project Management (APM) is committed to developing and promoting project and programme management through its Five Dimensions of Professionalism. APM’s mission statement is “to develop and promote the professional disciplines of project and programme management for the public benefit”. The APM Wessex branch covers Jersey and events in the Island are publicised and available for BCS Jersey members to register to attend.
